Global Fora
Collaboration with MDBs

AIIB is a member of the Heads of MDBs group as well as other strategic and working groups on a wide range of topics. AIIB proactively participates and contributes to the discussions of the various MDB working groups to collaborate on shared development challenges.

UN

Since 2018, AIIB has been granted Permanent Observer status in the United Nations. We continue to enhance our global and regional engagement, to multiply our impact and better respond to our clients and to broader development needs.

G20

AIIB cooperates with global leaders and partners on global policy matters, notably as an observer in the Group of Twenty (G20) Finance Track. COP

AIIB is an active participant at the annual United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference (COP). This reflects the Bank’s commitment to serving as Asia’s climate partner, and financing infrastructure investments that address the climate challenge within the region and beyond. Through contributions to Joint MDB efforts, AIIB-led events and knowledge sharing sessions, we seek to develop strong partnerships to boost climate action, deliver holistic approaches across climate mitigation, adaptation and nature, and finally to boost tailored innovation for greater impact.

Following a collaborative, inclusive and sustainable partnership approach, AIIB is also closely engaged with philanthropic organizations. These include the Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation.
