At the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), we are convinced that the only way to tackle the daunting global challenges that we face today is by working closely with others. That is why in 2022 we established our Operational Partnership Department (OPD), with the clear mission of expanding AIIB capacity to establishing ambitious, strategic alliances to operate to the highest standards and maximize development impact for our clients.

Taking a collaborative, inclusive and sustainable approach, we engage with peer multilateral development banks (MDBs), development partners, international institutions, think tanks, civil society and philanthropic organizations to mobilize resources, share knowledge, build capacity and coordinate efforts in infrastructure financing. We actively seek promising co-financing opportunities with other institutions to maximize the impact of our projects and address development challenges prevalent across Asia and beyond.

Our mission is simple: to mobilize external financial and technical resources in support of AIIB investments, and to enhance AIIB’s impact in the international development architecture.
