Rustam Abdukayumov is Acting Director General of the Facilities and Administration Services Department (FAS), where he provides strategic leadership for the corporate services function, including workspace and facilities management, administration and security services, and corporate procurement. He oversees the delivery of integrated corporate services that support AIIB’s operational effectiveness, resilience, and growth with a client-centric approach across its headquarters and local offices. Prior to his current role, Abdukayumov served as Manager, Corporate Procurement, within FAS. He continues to oversee the procurement of goods, works, consulting services, and other corporate services. Before joining AIIB in December 2023, Abdukayumov held senior procurement leadership roles at the Asian Development Bank, serving as Procurement Director, covering procurement and consulting services operations across developing members. He has over 26 years of experience at multilateral development banks, specifically in public and development procurement, supporting complex infrastructure and institutional programs, and advising senior management on strategy, governance, risk management, and operational performance. He has a master’s degree in oriental studies from Tashkent State University. Abdukayumov is from Uzbekistan.
